I’ve been wearing this jacket solidly for the past 2 weeks now; it’s been out on the trails with me, been on the daily commute, on the train, to the pub- I literally only took it off when I came indoors…In that sense, if you want a jacket you can wear all day on the trails and then keep on wearing when you go for your post ride beer this is the one for you!
The material is really sturdy and feels like it would take a lot of crashes before it would even think about tearing…
The sizing is really generous too: plenty of arm length to stop wrists getting chilly and plenty of bum cover too!
The overall fit is casual and you can fit your body armour under it very easily! If you’re not going to ride with armour and want a tighter fit i’d order a size down. I’m a UK 12 and 5ft 9, so not the petite women’s frame and I found the (L) plenty big enough!
There’s loads of zips and pockets; a back stash pocket perfect for your gloves; two side pockets big enough for your purse and camera; and an inside pocket which is ipod perfect! The zip system initially took a bit of getting used to with one shorter zip allowing more neck room and the main off centre zip having dual zips so you can create a funky combo of jacket half-zipped up, fully zipped, one up one down… just have fun with the zip system really!
There’s toggles and velcro a-plenty for all your cuff adjustments etc, so you can get the jacket to fit you as snug/baggy as you desire.
This jacket is a perfect all day, trail jacket. I wouldn’t pack it if I was going on an XC enduro as I think it would take up too much room in my pack- but for those all-day-at-the-trail-centre kinda days it’s perfect.
It keeps you surprisingly toasty as well, on the morning commute I wore this jacket over just a t-shirt and was plenty warm enough (bear in mind this is a late English January, so not arctic conditions-but cold enough!)
The *only* downside of this jacket is that the toggles on the zips are too flimsy… one of my toggles has already frayed completely off making access to the zip pocket hard when you’ve got gloves on. But we’ve had confirmation from Loeka that they have changed the toggles for their newer jackets so this problem will no longer be an issue!

We like;
- The design, functional and funky
- Lots of adjustments means this jacket will fit how you want it
- We got 3 stickers free with this product! 3! We had fun finding things to stick Loeka on…
- Lots of venting to keep you cool and less sweaty…

- The fact that it took a few days to realise you could un-velcro the hood… we found new things on this jacket everyday! Have fun exploring it!
- The kit comes with a one year warranty
We don’t like;
- The zipper toggles being flimsy (but these have been changed on the newer models!)
- The embarrassment of pronouncing it Lo-E-ka for weeks, until we realised it was Low-ka… (heads up for y’all)
Prices: For last year’s jacket expect to pay around £70 whereas the newer models retail at approx £120
